Studio Reopening!
We are happy to share that the studio will be reopening on September 15th. Things will be different of course, but the changes will actually help you focus on your clay work by giving you more space and less distractions. In order to create a safe studio environment, masks will be required, access to the studio will be limited to 14 people at a time (by appointment), wheels and work tables have been arranged at least 6 feet apart, and air filtration and exhaust measures have been put in place. Please note: Courses are suspended until at least January 2021. Stay tuned for updates.

¡Throw Big!
Enhance your wheel throwing skills: Learn how to throw larger, more elegant pieces with instructor Léan van der Merwe.
August 23rd and 24th
10:30 am–4:30 pm
Price $399 per person before Aug 22, $450 on day of.
Although this workshop is open to any experience level, it is not for total beginners. Participants must have some basic wheel throwing knowledge (and be 18 years or older). La Mano will supply tools, aprons, towels, as well as clay.
During this two-day workshop, we will demo and practice special techniques that make centering and shaping large amounts of clay easy and comfortable. There will be time for one-on-one help and special request demos. Plus, we will cover how to trim large or difficult shapes, making them lighter, more uniform, and graceful.
Please note: Current members of either La Mano or Mud Matters will have the option to fire pieces made during the workshop; for nonmembers, pieces will not be saved.
